PSA: BDSM and Morals

“Respect for Ourselves guides Our morals; respect for others guides Our manners”
Laurence Sterne

Hopefully, E/everyone reading this has some semblance of manners. In this technological age, it’s so simple to bypass common courtesy for a faster result. Instant Gratification, as it were, is taking the place of legitimate BDSM Practices. As with any cyber-outlet, most people are used to behaving a certain way online (where they spend most of their time), but sometimes that behavior doesn’t translate well into the real world.

Now, I don’t claim to be the end-all-be-all Queen of manners. No way. I’m known for My loud mouth and outspoken ways, but I am still able to act My age (should the need arise).

Todays topic

One of the things that is most misjudged in the world of Fetish and BDSM: Financial Domination.

Medical Definition of FETISHISM:
the pathological displacement of erotic interest and satisfaction to a fetish.

Fetish: (noun) — a strong and unusual need or desire for something.

Because the BDSM and Fetish world often collide, there is a wide (and ever growing) range of Kinks We can participate in.

You can join sites like FetLife and find people LOCAL to you that are into similar kinks/fetishes as you are. Sites like FetLife provide a wonderful SOCIAL NETWORK for like-minded kinksters, providing countless sources of information from (actual*) REAL TIME Dominants and submissives. The range of “titles” is as varied as the fetishes therein, anyone can say they’re a D-Type or an s-type, then again…this is the internet, a place where identities are sacred and protected (until they aren’t.) Beware of the fakers and trolls. Meet local, in groups (i.e. Munches). Be smart!

Then, if you’re looking for more specific FETISH sites, you can look them up by particular fetish. For example: FinDoms — a Financial Domination SITE, made for the Financial Fetishist! (yes, I’m a member!)

There are humiliation sites as well: TopLosers, where you can be publicly humiliated at your own expense!!! This is a great option for s-types wanting to throw themselves at the mercy of their Dominant! (sometimes, even unowned slaves pay to expose themselves!)

There are also various ‘quick fix’ networking sites available to anyone with a smart-phone: Vine, Instagram, and Twitter! These ‘quick fix’ sites often have a large user-network, which makes narrowing your choices MUCH easier (# hashtags have taken over the world).

The UGLY part…

Because of these networking sites, fetish sites, and the ‘media’, We’re seeing an influx of “insta-dommes” that are really bored little girls that want a sugar daddy, not Women who have taken the time to learn how a mind works, how to carefully mold an s-type into a willing (and happy) financial-submissive.

I have no problem with someone’s specific fetish or kink (YKINMK), but no one should FALSELY label themselves as a Dominant if they are not; True Dominants don’t beg for gifts, or reward random internet followers with “sneak-peeks” of their goodies.

Being a Dominant is being in control, of Yourself before others. Begging…well, that’s not control..

Begging is the practice of imploring (beg someone earnestly or desperately to do something) others to grant a favor, often a gift of money.

What part of that ^^ screams I AM DOMINANT?!?! Not a single word…It screams of desperation, hardship, strife…NOT a Commanding, Powerful, and Inspiring Dominant Woman.

RESPECT YOURSELF.
RESPECT YOUR TITLE.
